I had been married for quite a few years when I realised that both of us, both hubby and I, were really struggling with how things were going.

We didn’t argue with each other.

We didn’t get openly angry with each other.

But both of us were deeply unhappy with the way our marriage was going.

Eventually, it reached a crisis point and I had to sit and think long and hard about what I wanted from this partnership.

And I realised the answer was very simple.  I needed to strengthen our bond.  But, in order to put that into action, I needed to keep that thought “how to strengthen our bond” uppermost in my mind 24/7.

This is where the mindfulness that I developed from my meditation practice really helped me.
